Welcome to the Catholic Marketplace, a service provided by Young Professionals Catholic Toronto (YPCT). By accessing or using this website (the “Platform”), you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
The Catholic Marketplace is a community-based resource intended to connect Catholic employers and job seekers who share values aligned with the Catholic faith. While the platform highlights Catholic identity, it is open to all individuals and organizations, regardless of religion or belief.
YPCT does not discriminate on the basis of religion, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other status protected by applicable law. All users of the Platform must ensure their job postings, applications, and interactions comply with local, provincial, and federal employment and human rights laws.
By using the Platform, you agree:
To provide accurate, lawful, and non-misleading information in all postings and applications.
Not to upload or share content that is illegal, offensive, discriminatory, defamatory, or violates any law.
To comply with employment laws, including those governing bona fide occupational requirements (BFOR) when referencing religious qualifications.
To use the Platform solely for lawful job postings and applications—no spam, scams, or unrelated content.
YPCT reserves the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or is otherwise deemed inappropriate, without notice.
Third-Party Content: All job postings, applications, and communications on this site are created by third-party users. YPCT does not verify or guarantee the accuracy or legality of user-provided information.
No Guarantee: YPCT does not guarantee employment, hiring, or placement outcomes from using the Platform.
At Your Own Risk: Users assume full responsibility for interactions and transactions resulting from the use of the Platform.
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
YPCT, its officers, directors, employees, and volunteers shall not be liable for any loss, damage, claim, or dispute arising from your use of the Platform.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless YPCT from any claims related to your postings, applications, hiring decisions, or other actions on the Platform.
The Platform, including its design, content, and logo, is owned by YPCT and protected by copyright laws. Users may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any part of the Platform without prior written consent.
YPCT reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account or access to the Platform at any time for violation of these Terms or for any reason deemed necessary to protect the integrity of the Platform.
If you encounter content or activity that violates these Terms, please report it. YPCT may remove such content at its discretion.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
